Here's what happened in 2023
Each Vintage Weekender focuses on three core themes.
2023 was 60s', 80s' and 50's, with many themes intertwined within each day. Dressing up was welcomed but optional - your enjoyment is what matters most to me, so you do you!
3 Days & Nights. 3 Eras.
We looked around to find like-minded souls who were there just to have fun and explore the realms of Dawn's fabulousness mashed together to create the magic of weekender! We re-booked whilst we were there!

FRIDAY
MODS & MOTOWN
From the moment you arrive, I want you to feel like you've been transported back to another time. For this welcome to Weekender, we will embody the early 60s when colours were bold and blocky and hair was structured and often gravity defying.
The Weekender hair & beauty parlour will be open in the afternoon until supper and if the ladies fancy booking ahead and treating themselves to an updo or beehive, the booking diary will open soon
The afternoon activities involve a groovy dance workshop, quizzes and of course all the on-site facilities.

4 THEMES IN ONE DAY
The feature era day will be a crazy celebration of key moments of the 80s. Kicking things off with a classic morning workout for all abilites - and the Vintage Market all in the same room!
There will be plenty of fun and games before we saddle up and head off to the country for some cowboy action a la Footloose - so bring your Stetson, checked shirts and boots, for a line-dance lesson followed by a hilarious afternoon Hoe Down before getting ready for an evening of cheesy 80s prom fun!
Just like in the film... the kids change the 'NO DANCING' law and an 80s prom is planned where the cowboy boots are ditched in favour of big dresses, fluffy hair and ruffle shirts complete with Dads dicky bow tie...

EVENING
After you've danced the day away - or simply enjoyed the many site facilities including Golf, Table Tennis, Petanque, Rifle Shooting, Archery, Swimming - and shopped until you've dropped, you'll recharge over dinner with friends old and new, as we step into the cheesiest 80s American prom you could imagine! No hair is too big and outfit too corny!
PLUS, the legendary late night party is back for those who aren't quite ready to head to bed! We'll dance into the early hours in the cabaret restaurant whilst bathed in the finest 80s' neon! No need to change, just bring UV accessories!

Holiday rock Hi De Hi
Sunday brings us the opportunity to embrace all that was the traditional holiday camp craziness!
Hi de Hi was set in the late 50s and embodied the flashback to the British holiday heyday and show cased the innocent delights of laughter and friends.
You can expect a full day of activities including the return of the Mobility Scooter Derby, quizzes, dance classes and an evening of boogying your bobby socks off late into the night.
The Yellowcoat 'farewell campers' singalong will end the Weekend, and as always, guests will have first dibs on the following years accommodation and the Warner staff will be more than happy to help you book

2023 Capture Every Costume
Each year, guests go to amazing lengths to dress up and really immerse themselves in the themes and we always see things on social media after the event and wonder how we missed seeing some of the outfits!
So in 2023 we wanted to see it all and had a proper, themed photo studio set up with resident photographer Carlien who was literally capturing every costume!
Only £15 for the whole weekend per person to capture each look.

A Brief History...
The very first Vintage Weekender was back in 2016, because of my successful Kickstarter campaign. I will forever be thankful to those "backers" for believing in me and helping my vintage dreams become a reality. The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive and has helped me shape and grow the event to what it has become.
Nothing is more important than providing an inclusive, immersive experience for people of all ages and backgrounds to come and enjoy, with a huge helping of kitsch thrown in just for good measure! A long weekend away with me is guaranteed to have you smiling, I can't wait to do it all over again in 2024!
